The section Alerting allows you to set the alerts in your network. You can find the different alerts under Administration - Alerting. You have a tab for device specific alerts, that cover alerts assigned to specific hardware or tags. Furthermore another tab for organisation alerts that are assigned to actions in the organisation, for example a new agent was registered. The third tab covers alert contacts that can be assigned to alerts and will rechieve them.
Device Alerts
Device alerts are alerts that happen if a device reaches a certain state, set in the alarm. For example if a device, where the alarm is set, is offline, an alarm will be created.

Clicking on Alerts Occured allows you to see, on which devices the alert happened.

By editing you can change the settings of the alert. To edit an alert, click the three dot’s on the left of the entry and select edit.

You can also create a new alert by clicking the Create button in the top grey menu, while in the Device Alert tab (in the other tabs it will not create a Device Alert). You are able to select the type of alert, additionally to set the configurations. You are also able to select the devices your alert is active on. You can, for example, create an alert for Missing Windows Updates only for server. This operates the same as filtering.

Organisation Alerts
Organisation Alerts, contrary to device alerts, apply to the whole organisation. Instead of alerting about the behaviour of the devices it alerts of the behaviour of the organisation, for example an alert will be created, if a new agent is installed.
To create a new alert, click the Create button in the grey top menu, while in the Organisation Alert tab (in the other tabs it will not create a Organisation Alert)

Alert Contacts
Under the Alert Contact section are the contacts that will get the alert notification. You can create multiple. To create a new contact click the Create button in the grey top menu, while in the Alert Contact tab (in the other tabs it will not create a Alert Conact)
