Usually following steps are required to activate dot1x / RADIUS authentication on your switch:
Global Switch Settings
- Configure a RADIUS Server:
- Enter the IP Address of the RADIUS Server
- Enter the pre shared key for the RADIUS Server
- Activate AAA on the switch (not on all models required)
- e.g.
aaa new modelandaaa authentication dot1x default group radius
on each Switchport
- Activate dot1x authentication
Finding correct RADIUS settings
Open the console on the RADIUS server you got from HS2N.
Under the menu entry Info you will see the sharded secret, required for your switches:
